About the Role
We are looking for a Legal & Compliance Officer (HR-focused) who will take ownership of ensuring that all HR practices, employment structures, and internal policies are legally compliant, enforceable, and aligned with Indonesian regulations.
This role is critical in managing legal risk across employee lifecycle processes and requires a highly structured, detail-oriented individual who prioritizes accuracy and defensibility in every decision.
You will work closely with HR and leadership to ensure that all actions taken are legally sound and properly documented.
What You Will Do
HR Legal Compliance
Ensure all HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with Indonesian labor laws and regulations
Monitor regulatory updates and translate them into actionable internal changes
Maintain compliance across employment lifecycle (onboarding, employment, termination)
Contract Review & Structuring
Draft, review, and validate employment agreements and HR-related legal documents
Ensure contracts are clear, enforceable, and aligned with company standards
Support standardization of legal documentation across the organization
Risk Management & Advisory
Identify legal risks in HR operations, policies, and decisions
Provide structured, practical legal guidance on disciplinary actions, terminations, and disputes
Support management in making legally defensible decisions
Documentation & Governance
Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness across HR processes
Maintain legal consistency across internal policies and employee agreements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law (SH)
Strong understanding of Indonesian labor law and employment regulations
Fluent in spoken and written English (mandatory)
Experience working in IT, SaaS, POS, or ERP companies is highly preferred
Experience handling employment contracts, compliance, and HR-related legal matters
High attention to detail and strong risk awareness
Ability to translate legal concepts into clear, practical business guidance
