This is a senior-level role for someone who can go beyond identifying data errors. Key Responsibilities
• Review and validate product data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability.
• Investigate incorrect, missing, outdated, or inconsistent product information.
• Compare data across manufacturer websites, documentation, APIs, databases, product feeds, and other trusted sources.
• Use SQL to retrieve, review, and investigate data when required.
• Identify root causes of data quality problems.
• Determine whether an issue affects only one record or a larger group of products or datasets.
• Perform quality checks before important product or data changes are released.
• Verify completed data corrections and changes.
• Identify repeated or systemic data quality problems.
• Document findings, evidence, investigation steps, and conclusions clearly.
• Support and guide Data Quality Analysts when handling difficult cases.
• Work closely with Data Quality, Product, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Backend Engineering, and other relevant teams.
• Recommend improvements to validation rules, checklists, documentation, workflows, and data quality processes.
• Escalate technical or systemic issues to the appropriate team when required.
What We Are Looking For
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to investigate complex data problems and identify root causes.
• Experience working with structured data and databases.
• Ability to use SQL for data investigation and validation.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and data validation tools.
• Able to compare information from multiple sources and determine which information is reliable.
• Able to document findings clearly so another person can understand and reproduce the investigation.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of complex investigations.
• Able to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
Mandatory Requirements
• Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory. You must be comfortable communicating professionally in English during meetings, discussions, documentation, reports, and collaboration with international colleagues and stakeholders.
• This position is 100% on-site at our Dago office in Bandung. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this role.
• Candidates must be willing and able to work from the Dago office during normal company working hours.
• Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is required. Employees must use their own suitable laptop or computer for work. The device must be capable of supporting the systems, applications, databases, spreadsheets, SQL tools, and other software required for the role.
